Delete your account.

Takes about 90 seconds Available in-app and over email Permanent — cannot be undone

You can delete your PUP account and every log associated with it at any time, for any reason. We won't ask why, and we don't put it behind a wall of dark patterns.

Permanent. Once you confirm, your profile, every log, every achievement, and every XP transaction are deleted from our backend within 24 hours. We cannot restore them. If you want a copy, export first.

Delete from the app (recommended)

This is the fastest path and gives you the export option in the same flow.

  1. Open PUP on the device you signed in on.
  2. Tap the Profile tab (bottom-right).
  3. Scroll to Settings and tap Delete account.
  4. If you want a backup, tap Export as PDF first (Pro) — you'll get a PDF report via the share sheet.
  5. Tap Delete forever on the confirmation dialog.

You'll be signed out automatically. Within 24 hours, your account and all data tied to it are removed from our servers.

Delete by email

Lost access to the device you signed in on? Email contact@pup.my.id from the email address you signed up with. Include:

  • The display name on your account.
  • Roughly when you signed up (month and year is fine).
  • Whether you want an export emailed to you first.

We respond within two business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirmation.

What happens after

Here's exactly what we do, in order.

  • Immediately: your session is invalidated, your profile is marked for deletion, and you're signed out everywhere.
  • Within 24 hours: all logs, achievements, XP transactions, friendships, reactions, and notification tokens are hard-deleted from our primary database.
  • Within 30 days: the records are purged from encrypted backups as part of our standard backup-rotation cycle.
  • Forever: any aggregate analytics (e.g. "total pups logged across all users") may continue to include the count you contributed, since aggregates cannot be reversed without re-identifying individuals — which we never do.

Export first?

You can take a copy with you before you go. From Profile → Settings → Export as PDF (Pro), PUP generates a PDF report containing:

  • Every log you've ever recorded, with all metadata.
  • Your profile, achievements earned, and current rank.
  • Your XP transactions over time.

The file is yours. Hand it to your doctor or keep it for your own records. Need raw JSON or CSV instead? Email contact@pup.my.id before you delete and we'll send it over.

Common questions

Can I delete just my logs but keep the account?

Not in one tap. From the History screen, tap Select in the header to enter multi-select, pick the logs you want gone, and confirm the bulk delete. Your profile, rank, and achievements stay put.

If I delete and come back, will I keep my rank?

No. A new sign-up is a new account, even with the same Apple ID or Google account. We have no way to identify you as a returning user once the deletion is complete.

What if I'm a Pro subscriber?

Cancel the subscription through Apple's or Google's settings before you delete the account — once the account is gone we can't issue refunds. Apple and Google handle billing, so we don't see your payment details.
